  报告题目:Pattern formation in Anabaena, a one-dimensional cyanobacterial organism 

  专家简介: 

  Prof. Joel Stavans教授就职于以色列魏茨曼研究院复杂系统物理系。1986年毕业于美国芝加哥大学,获博士学位;1986年至1989年在美国匹兹堡大学和意大利帕维亚大学从事博士后研究。Prof. Joel Stavans早期从事物理学方向研究,后转至生物学领域,其团队利用单细胞追踪技术结合数学建模来研究生物学的一系列现象。最近开始利用鱼腥蓝细菌作为模式,研究异形胞的格式形成及群体行为,为该领域的定量生物学奠定了基础。本次报告为一次典型的跨学科领域报告,结合了物理学、生物学及数学多个领域。
